In 1974, the High School for the Education of Workers in Vranje started to work, which was supposed to provide professional staff, necessary for the developed economy of Vranje and the region. In 1987, the Higher School for the Education of Workers was transformed into the Higher Technical Technology School, with new sections and directions, in order to be in line with the needs of the staff of the economy. In order to fit into the European education system, since our country is a signatory of the Bologna Declaration, in 2002, the School moved to three-year studies. In September 2005, the Law on Higher Education was adopted, which transforms all the High schools into the Higher Professional School, and after that, 2007/08in accordance with the Law, the school started to educate the staff envisaged by the Bologna Declaration. In addition to teaching staff, most of the doctors of science, the school also has enough space, where students listen to lectures, work on computers, practice in laboratories and workshops. The school has made sure to provide the relevant professional literature, which they can use in the library, or to buy it and use it outside of the school. Thanks to the long-standing and good cooperation with the businessmen of Vranje and Pcinja region, our students are able to supplement their practical knowledge in the following companies: Simpo, Top Sofa, Alfa Plam, BAT, Megal and other companies. Cooperation with "BAT" is particularly successful.
